The 6th edition of the Parham Park Kermesse was held on a sunny day in the fantastic grounds of this Elizabethan House. The course is a mix of fast open road and private, narrow lanes that are rough and gravelly rewarding those riders who know how to stay near the front.
After many unsuccessful break attempts two riders finally prized themselves clear with 4 laps to go of the 3 mile circuit. Simon Mcnamara (SouthDowns Bikes – Casco) and Peter Hitt (VC Meudon) never had more than 30secs but they worked well together to stay away with Hitt pulling away on the tough drag to the finish line leaving the promoting clubs Mcnamara to earn a well deserved 2nd.
The main group sprint was won convincingly by Philip Glowinski (VC de Londres) who took 3rd place.
