Ridley and Lazer to join Shimano as sponsors of the inaugural British round of the Cyclocross World Cup in Milton KeynesÂ

Ridley, Lazer and Shimano are the proud sponsors of the third round of the UCI Cyclocross World Cup to be held on 29th November 2014 in Milton Keynes, it has been announced today.
Ridley, the world’s foremost cyclocross bike brand is the ‘Presenting Partner’ of the round with leading helmet brand Lazer coming in as ‘Supporting Partner’. The round will see the best cyclocross riders in the world descend on British soil for a round of the UCI Cyclocross World Cup, for the first time.

There will be a host of competitions and deals on offer from Ridley and Lazer throughout the event for riders and spectators. Shimano, sponsors of the entire World Cup will also be present with its tech truck, providing technical support for the teams and riders.
Up to now, rounds of the Cyclocross World Cup have only ever been held on mainland Europe but British fans will now be able to watch their heroes from across the globe race on the unique city-centre park venue in Milton Keynes. Former British Cyclocrosss Champions, Ian Field of Hargroves Cycles/Ridley RT and Nikki Harris of Telenet Fidea will both be battling it out on Ridley bikes and wearing Lazer helmets.
Simon Burney, Event Director for the UCI Cyclocross World Cup said: “We are delighted that Madison and Sportline have come on board to sponsor the event in their home town with two such iconic cyclocross brands. Both Ridley and Lazer have such a strong presence in cyclocross that it’s great they want to be involved as the sport takes another step forward with a World Cup in a new market”.

Ridley is distributed exclusively in the UK and Ireland by Sportline. Shimano and Lazer are both distributed by Madison in the UK and Ireland.
