Last years event saw the brothers joined by television actors Tom Lister and Dean Andrews both keen cyclists. With stars from cycling scene, Team Sky riders Ian Stannard and Ben Swift, Rapha Condor JLT’s Graham Briggs, Scotland’s Chris Pritchard and many more.

With family and many friends from the cycling community attending, the night was the most successful yet. Looking to build on the previous additions, the night will feature a buffet, auction, disco and guest interviews conducted by Tour of Britain’s Man on the Mic, Joe Fisher.

Dean and Russ have confirmed Ben Swift, who is one of the original supporters of the OOTS charity evening, along with Malcolm Elliott, Chris Walker, GCN’s Matt Stephens, Scotland’s Commonwealth Games track ssprinter Chris Pritchard and Pete Williams. With family and many friends from the cycling community attending, the night is a sell out of 230 tickets.

2014 has been another great season for both Dean and Russ.

Racing together for one last year in the same colours at NFTO pro cycling. Dean retired at the Sheffield Grand Prix, a race he won in 2013 and Russ made a fantastic recovery from a broken collarbone early season to score an excellent fourth place for Team England in the Commonwealth Games Road Race.

This year the brothers will be supporting Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity, in Sheffield. Jack Stephenson, a OOTS cycling club member recently completed the London to Paris charity bike ride in less than 24 hours to help raise funds for the charity who helped his father through his cancer battle and chemotherapy.

Pre dinner ride
Whilst the Out of the Saddle charity evening is now sold out, for those of you who can’t attend the evening but are still wanting to show your support, there is the leisure ride on the morning of the dinner. Last years 64km route attracted around 80 riders, of all ages. This year will hopefully be the same number of people.

The ride will use the exact same route as we all enjoyed last year, which is a very nice flat 64km, no complaints there then.

The Ruddle Centre in Braithwell is where Out of the Saddle cycling club holds its BC Road Races throughout the season. Start time for the ride will be for a 10:30 leave and returning to The Ruddle Centre between 12:30 and 13:30 for some well deserved coffee and cake, which will be provided by Stu and Gina and the staff from Garden Room Café, which is the official clubhouse for the cycling club.

This is a free ride with Dean and Russ with some possible special guests. All we ask is a kind donation to the charity we are supporting this year Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.
