National Trophy Series Round 3
This weekend saw the 3rd round of the National Trophy series make its way to Durham. This round proved to be another successful weekend for the Hargroves/Ridley RT.

Harry Yates took a fine victory in the Youth race with a decisive last lap attack that created a race winning gap to take his first national trophy race win in HCRT colours. Steve Davies took the win earlier in the day in a close fought Vet 50 race with three riders finishing within 10 seconds.

Jody’s result moves him to first place in the series overall, with Ian Field and Steve James 3rd and 4th respectively. Andy Hargroves finished in 24th place.

Ben Tulett, resplendent in his Green series leaders jersey and green Lazer helmet, finished 2nd in the Under 14 youth race and held onto his series lead for another round! Crispin Doyle took 9th in the vet 40’s and Malcolm Cross was 22nd in the Vet 50 race.

Matt built up a solid lead and controlled the race from the front, able to pick the fastest safest lines through the bends. Superprestige Gavere, Belgium
This weeken also saw Ian Field take to famously tough Asper-Gavere circuit, Belgium. The Asper-Gavere course is a cyclocross Classic and was also the fourth round of the Superprestige series. Ian has had some great results in Belgium this year, and this was no exception. Ian finished a respectable 22nd on a tough course against tough opposition. Ians form of late has been impeccable, and we can’t wait to see what he can do at Milton Keynes
