London’s Dulwich Paragon CC to run four week winter series at VeloPark in Kent from January 29 through to February 26

Dulwich Paragon Cycling Club is delighted to offer our first Winter Series of races at VeloPark (Stratford, London) running Thursday Evenings under lights from 7.00pm on January 29th, February 5th, 12th and 19th.

“We’re excited to run mid-week early season racing as a compliment to the winter series being run at Hog Hill, Hillingdon and CycloPark on the weekends” said Ben Knapp from Dulwich Paragon, “We’ve been able to secure fantastic sponsorship for prizes and will offer more than £1200 worth for weekly winners, primes and the series overall.” Add to that the thrill of racing under lights on a perfect surface and the ingredients are there for great racing.

Sponsors for the series include: Rudy Project, Rat RaceCyces, Cadence Performance, Panagua Bikes, VeloPhysio, Look Mum No Hands and The Sufferfest.

The series offers three races each week from 7.00pm with a women’s category 2/3/4, men’s category 2/3 and men’s category 4 only. The club said “it was important for us to offer early season races for those new to racing, we’ve got a big contingent in our club moving into racing from sportives and club rides and offering a series like this allows them to make that step early season ahead of the summer series.”

The series seems a success already with the men’s races for weeks one and two sold out and the remaining weeks already 70% full. The women’s races are also filling up with less than 15 spots remaining in each of the 4 weeks of the series.
