Event Press Release
Over the weekend of 30th and 31st May, the Milton Keynes area will once again be hosting a major cycle racing event. With up to 500 competitors across eight races, in terms of cycle road racing on open roads, this will be the biggest road racing event in the UK say the organisers. The event is based on age related racing with a Championship for each five year age group, and is open for anyone over 30 years of age (UK citizens holding a British Cycling Racing Licence).

The event will be held at a new venue and course on the western boundary of Milton Keynes, with HQ at Longueville Hall, Newton Longville, and a 10.7 mile course from Newton Longville, through Mursley, Stewkley and back to Newton Longville (having circumnavigated Drayton Parslow). The races will vary in length from 54 miles (5 laps) to 96 miles (9 laps) depending on age group.
The 2014 event was also held nearby at Wing when high quality fields included for example in the Women’s race, uber Olympic Paralympian Champion Dame Sarah Storey. The interest in Masters age related racing is growing as evidenced by this year’s early entries from as far afield as USA, Spain and Germany.
Race Director, Wayne Thomas is delighted to confirm continuing sponsorship from Enterprise Flex-e-Rent, Burnt Tree Vehicle Rental, Condor Cycles, and MuleBar, along with Veloworx.
