Fusion Racing team launch all female Youth and Junior development squad

Team News – Fusion Development Team
The launch of the 2015 M&D/Fusion RT/WORXBIKES Youth and Junior development squad all female cycle racing team took place recently. The squad is a youth and junior development team and also feeder for the senior Fusion RT / Gearclub Women’s Cycle Race Team.

Following on the from the success of last year’s debut season, the team has strengthened the squad to allow us to field 5 youth female riders and 4 junior female riders across the full range of road, track, mtb and cyclo-cross disciplines at national level in the UK. In addition the youth girls will be representing the team at selected international events including the European Youth Tour in Holland, events in Belgium and not forgetting the Isle of Man Youth Tour.

The junior girls team will compete in the National Women’s Team Series and other selected National level events across the UK. The team was launched alongside the senior Fusion RT / Gearclub Ladies squad at a joint presentation held in the grounds of the picturesque Glanusk Estate, Powys, just a short ride from Abergavenny in Monmouthshire where the teams are based.

The goals of the both teams are to develop young riders as they progress through the age categories to allow them gain experience in high level racing before they become senior riders. This will allow them to reach their full potential without pressure and in an environment where their development is supported.

The team is supported for the 2015 season by M&D Cycles of Abergavenny, WORXBIKES, who are manufacturers of youth specific racing and cyclocross bikes and DirtWash bicycle specific cleaning products. The youth team for 2015 is comprised of the following riders:
