With the road season fast approaching, the PMR@ToachimHouse women’s team got together for a recent training day

The team are fortunate in having a Team Manager/DS in Graham Hills who is not only an experienced road racer and qualified coach, but also an advanced motorbike rider, NEG rider & Commissaire. This keeps them on their toes as they never know which hat he will be wearing at any given moment.
On the day the team were also grateful to have Digi Dave Hayward along for the ride to take some fabulous photographs & video the ride. Riding pillion, he was able to provide a great record of the day and also footage for Graham to analyse the riders pedalling technique/cadence/body position afterwards.
The team were put through their paces over a hilly 50 mile route in the beautiful Kent countryside & asked to do various drills, which caused quite a stir in the local villages. A group of 8 women in identical kit riding in formation is not an everyday sight.
Being able to follow so closely on the moto, it was possible to give on the spot coaching advice to individual riders.
More sessions along the same lines are planned for the near future.
