The race is for 2nd and 3rd category riders starting at 5.35pm and consists of 45 mins plus 5 laps of the circuit. Travel to the race could be done on foot with bike via Wightlinks Portsmouth Harbour to Ryde Pier Head service which brings you out on the circuit. By car, Wightlinks Portsmouth to Fishbourne would give you a two mile journey to the race.

The course has one main climb and for a crit its going to be brutal. Start is on Ryde Esplanade and there is a sharp left turn on to Union Street, this is the climb. At the top of Union Street, it turns left into Cross Street which carries on into Melville Street, this is all slightly down hill.

It then turns into Dover Street which is down hill. Then it swings left back onto the Esplanade which is flat to the finish line. It’s mainly up hill then sweeping downhill until it starts again. I don’t think it will end in a bunch sprint as the hill will be too hard towards the end of the race.
