The selection comes after promising early season races that have resulted in numerous stand-out performances including a win at the prestigious Tour of the Reservoir and podium finish at this year’s Tour de Normandie.

The line-up for the new 2.1 Europe Tour world-class race across Yorkshire includes a mixture of experience and youth that should put the team in good stead as they take on the spectacular route planned across the moors and dales on many of the same roads used in last year’s opening of the Tour de France.

Roger Hammond, Team Manager: “We’ve been really looking forward to the Tour De Yorkshire for a long time now and have been working hard to ensure we are ready to race on Friday in Bridlington! I am extremely pleased with how the team has progressed this year with everyone going the extra mile in training; selecting the final eight riders has been very difficult, but in a good way”.

“I’m confident that with the balance of climbers and rouleurs in the team led by the experience of Mark McNally (pictured above with Tobyn Horton), we will be ready for anything the beautiful (and demanding) Yorkshire countryside can throw at us! With the support of the fantastic Yorkshire crowds, I’m really looking forward to seeing the team step up to the challenge.”
