News – Holme Valley Wheelers Women’s Race

The Holme Valley Wheelers women’s stage race is on Friday 5th June 2015 start 7pm and needs entries.

Race Headquarters is Upper Cumberworth football club, Park Lane, Birds Edge near Huddersfield West Yorkshire HD8 8XW.

— Stage one 25 mile road race.
— Stage two Saturday 10.00 8 mile time trial. Use of time trial bikes allowed
— Stage three 32 miles start 1pm.

Full national escort group motorbike marshals and first aid cover from civil volunteers.

Race over some of the roads used in the Tour de Yorkshire. Equal prize fund to the men £910, subject to 60 riders entering.

Race open to women and junior women only. No men in the race. Chip Timing.

Entry Fee £40.00.

£.2 of the entry fee will go to BEAT a charity that supported Rowena’s family and Rowena. Sadly Rowena died in 2010. Rowena was a member of the Holme Valley Wheelers. A plaque to the best rider under 23 rider will be given in memory of Rowena.

Entries close Sunday night 10th May 2015.
