Report & Results – Cornish series Race 1
The newly refurbished St Evals Kart circuit played host to the first of the shorten Cornish series. A cold but sunny evening greeted the 50 or so riders who graced the first event. Numbers were down on last year but that did not stop the riders generating some fantastic racing.
The Cat 4 race was a hard fought race with various riders trying there luck. Success went to Robert Cartildge Plymouth Corinthians who broke clear for a decisive win. The rest of the bunch was led in by Josh Benford Okhampton cc and Daniel Benford BCR. It was great to see local legend Jone Morse take fourth.
The cat 2/3/4 was dominated by a nine man leading group with repeated attacks from Jake Alderman Bike Chain Ricci, Mark Haynes PZ wheeler to name but two. Final glory went to Carl Dyson on holiday in Cornwall from Beeston CC after a last lap stinging attack. The bunch was led in by Jake Alderman BCR and third was Joseph Petrowki Velosure Starley Primal, who also saw success in the womens race which was led from start to finish by Emily Atrill.
The youth racing was largely represented by One and All academy riders although Toby and Alfie Peters from T1Diabetes both won their categories.
Next event is this coming Wednesday. There was really positve feed back from riders so please enter on line before Tuesday.
