Result – Gosforth Road Club Open 25 TT

Gosforth Road Club’s first ever Open Time Trial Promotion took place on Sunday 5 July when the roads around Stamfordham in Northumberland hosted the Northumberland and Durham Cycling Association’s 25 Mile Championship. In near perfect conditions 61 riders took the start and there were close contests in all categories.

Collin Humphrey of Achieve Skinnergate took the overall win ahead of GS Metro rivals Danny Grieves and Carl Donaldson, with all 3 inside the previous M2511 course record. As best affiliated rider, Grieves won the Les Whellens Memorial Trophy as NDCA 25 Mile Champion for 2015. Nev Martin of Adept Precision won a very tight Veterans category, with Angela Hibbs of Team Wattcycle the winner of the Women’s contest. GS Metro won the Team prize ahead of Cestria CC and 3rd placed Barnesbury CC.  The promoting club’s Zeb Kyffin took Junior honours.
