Report – Halesowen Track League 3

Friday night track league is really getting underway now with the third of the series. The A category was wide open this weekend as the leader Jacob Tipper was recovering from the previous weekend’s British championship where he had been up against the likes of Mark Cavendish and three others who are now riding the Tour de France.

This left the door open for Charles Walker who showed his class winning every race despite being pushed to the line by Oliver Dighton and Jason Duckworth.

Josh Fields also put in a strong performance to take fourth spot overall despite his younger years. in the second Youth group Halesowen riders grabbed all the top spots with Alex Barker just getting the better of Nathan Burns and Joseph Brookes claiming 3rd.

The freewheelers was hotly contested with Will Lewis holding out for overall first on the night with a three way tie for second place with Ellie Swingell, Ollie Cramp (Redditch) and Thomas Brookes.
