Mike Jackson beats CC Luton teammate James Fox to the money at the LVRC MK Bowl Series Handicap event on July 21st

Result – LVRC MK Bowl Series
The annual Handicap race, part of the MK Bowl series, was held on Tuesday 21st July. A warm but blustery evening greeted the 45 starters with the race having 3 groups, AB, CD and EFG, with the older guys getting a lap and a half start.

All the groups were driving hard,with the CC Luton working well in the AB’s, Mark Booth,Dave Watson and Paul Stewart active in the CD’s.

With 10 minutes to go, all three groups simultaneously merged and lots of riders were looking for a gentler run in to a bunch sprint. Mike Jackson and James Fox, both CC Luton were having none of it and launched a ferocious attack which saw them stay clear where Mike won a close sprint to take the Â£50.00 first prize.

The bunch split under the pressure of the attack and it was mainly the younger guys battling for 3rd place,with Glenn McMenamin taking the honours. A big thanks to all those that turned out to help.
