Team News – NFTO for RideLondon
British team NFTO are looking to defend their title in RideLondon won by Adam Blythe in 2014 with a strong team giving them multiple options.

The race over 200 kilometres starting and finishing in the centre of London after a few laps of the Surrey Hills has been won in bunch kicks and small breaks and the team are looking for either option on Sunday.

NFTO will come up against the toughest competition they have faced all year with six World Tour Teams and riders of the calibre of Mark Cavendish, Tom Boonen, Ben Swift and defending champion Adam Blythe.

The NFTO team line-up includes the new British Circuit Race Champion, Ian Bibby, Irish U/23 National Time-Trial and Road Race Champion Eddie Dunbar and Australian National Criterium Champion Steele von Hoff. Rounding out the six they will have Jonathan McEvoy, Dale Appleby and team captain Rob Partridge.

The strategy will be a multi-pronged attack knowing it’s going to be the World Tour teams that will most likely set the tempo of the race. NFTO however are confident they have the riders to compete with the best.”Bibby and Eddie can climb with the best and could end up comfortably in a break-away” the team explains on their website.

“Steele has shown at the start of the year he can sprint against the fastest guys in the world winning a WorldTour stage at Tour Down Under and the knowledge and tenacity of Dale, Johnny and Rob means that they are able to capitalise on any opportunity” the team continues.
