Cycle Show Press Release

This year’s Paris-Nice winner and Team Sky rider Richie Porte will be opening The Cycle Show 2015 at the NEC Birmingham on Friday 25th September. Porte will welcome show-goers as the doors open in the morning and then join ITV’s Tour de France reporter, Ned Boulting, for a live question and answer session later in the day.

“I’m really looking forward to visiting The Cycle Show this year,” said Porte. “I’ve enjoyed it when I have had a chance to ride in Britain, so it will be great to meet some of the British cycling fans that have supported me throughout my career.”

In addition, the man who made the term “shut up legs” famous, Jens Voigt, will be returning to the NEC for the second time with Trek Bikes. Joining the star-studded line up will be Sean Kelly, Stephen Roche and Magnus Backstedt who will be taking to the stage for The Meet the Legends sessions.

Trials legend and star of the Road Bike Party series Martyn Ashton, will be attending to speak about his recovery from injury and his latest adventures, which include test riding his new e-MTB.

Taking place between the 25th-27th September, The Cycle Show is the UK’s largest and longest-running cycling exhibition, having welcomed over 300,000 visitors since its launch in 2002.
