Result – Bath CC Hill Climb
This event continues to grow in popularity attracting both top class riders and those with a more light hearted view of the day. However, the course record of 2:08 set by Phil Marshal in 1992 has remained out of reach. The event attracted 5 riders on Fixed wheel including Robert Borek who was only 13 seconds behind the winner riding a 55 fixed.
At the top, the 1st 8 places were separated by only 8 seconds, with 8th placed Stephan Barnett, still only a junior one to watch for next year. The ladies prize was also a close battle with Joanne Jago (performance Cycles) beating Julie Marazzi (Somer Valley CC) by only 1 second. While 5 clubs fielded teams, VC Walcot ran away with the category win.
