1. With your team all sorted for 2016, what are you looking forward to most next season.
George: Stepping up another level again. I’ve been progressing really well from year to year and I think next year will be no exception. I’ll still be an Under 23 next year and being in that category adds a bit of weight to the results, so I’ll be looking to capitalise on that.

2. What were your highlights in 2015?
George: Without a doubt, the Tour of Britain. From the beginning of the season, it was a big goal of mine to get selected, so to finally get there, was special.

3. What race was the most fun in 2015 and why?
George: Hard choice but I’ll go with the London Nocturne. It was pitch black, the crowd was amazing, the course was super technical and it’s all set in a pretty cool place.

4. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given and who gave it to you?
George: A lot of people have told me not to forget my shoes. It’s sound advice!

5. Tell us about your winter training bike, what is different about it compared to your race bike?
George: It’s actually the same Raleigh Militis that I train on throughout the season but with some clip on mudguards. Nothing too complicated.

6. Finally, how will you spend December on the bike?
George: I’ll be at home in December. I’m crossing my fingers that the weather won’t be too bad! I’ve just started working with a new coach (John Findley at Palmares Coaching), so I’m looking forward to seeing what will come from that. It’s mainly steady endurance this month. I’ve also just started doing work in the gym – core and lower body. I’m trying to cover all the bases for next year!

Thanks George and good luck for 2016!
