1. When will you start your road season and what will be the first race?
Lloyd: If all goes to plan, I’m hoping to start it fairly early with the Perfs Road Race on the 14th Feb. It is quite early but it doesn’t bother me too much and I don’t mind racing in poor weather either, which is what is to be expected for that time of year.

2. What races will be your targets for 2016 and why?
Lloyd: Chorley GP and the Lincoln GP, I liked both of them courses last year and would like to get a good result there and obviously the National Champs too ;)

3. How will you spend the time on the bike between now and your first race in training?
Lloyd: A mixture of both. I have proper, structured coaching this year from Train Sharp and so far it’s going well.

4. What was your favourite Xmas present?
Lloyd: A couple of jars of Speculoos

5. When it rains, which its doing a lot right now, is it turbo time or wrap up and get wet?
Lloyd: Go out. What would happen on race day if it was raining?! If you get wet, you get wet. Suck it up and get on with it. But a casquette under the helmet is a necessity.

6. If you could do any race in the world including the best ones in the world etc, what would it be and why?
Lloyd: Tour of Flanders or Paris – Roubaix. Any of the Classics or Ardennes. I just love those races, the trials an tribulations that riders go through in those races, builds and destroys characters.

7. What piece of food can you not do without where ever you are on the road during the season!
Lloyd: I love a warm croissant with marmalade or honey, goes down a treat

8. What is your favourite music track when warming up for a race or on the turbo?
Lloyd: Town Called Malice, Going Underground and Down in the Tube Station At Midnight by The Jam, End Credits by Chase and Status, Killing in the Name of by Rage Against the Machine, Feel the Love, Not Giving in and Waiting all Night by Rudimental.

9. If given the option, would you prefer normal brakes or disc brakes on your road bike?
Lloyd: Normal brakes, a lot less faff in adjusting them, and just looks normal for a road racing bike.

10. What’s the spec of your race bike for 2016 and your favourite bits on it? (include a pic or two if you have them!)
Lloyd: Specialised Tarmac with Shimano Dura Ace 11speed group, Edco Wheels, Speed Play Pedals and Conti Tyres. Always been a fan of these bikes. Love everything about them
