2016 Q & A

1. When will you start your road season and what will be the first race?
Dan: Not too sure yet.

2. What races will be your targets for 2016 and why?
Dan: We’ve got a lot on the calendar but for sure any really hard races and I’ll looking forward to racing back in Italy!

3. How will you spend the time on the bike between now and your first race in training?
Dan: I’ve got a month away in Spain where I’ll be doing plenty of volume and climbing.

4. What was your favourite Xmas present?
Dan: Got a little elastic band flinger toy gun, perfect for shooting my younger brother.

5. When it rains, which its doing a lot right now, is it turbo time or wrap up and get wet?
Dan: If I wake up and hear rain on the window, I’ll go back to sleep and pray to the cycling gods for it to stop when I wake up again.

6. If you could do any race in the world including the best ones in the world etc, what would it be and why?
Dan: I don’t have a favourite race, but I certainly wouldn’t want to do Paris-Roubaix.

7. What piece of food can you not do without where ever you are on the road during the season!
Dan: Love Italian ice cream!!

8. What is your favourite music track when warming up for a race or on the turbo?
Dan: I only did one warm up, a total of 20 minutes on a turbo last season and didn’t listen to music, but if I did I’d definitely have Eminem – lose yourself in there somewhere.

9. If given the option, would you prefer normal brakes or disc brakes on your road bike?
Dan: I don’t like the look of disc brakes, they could be useful in the rain but I would prefer normal brakes.

10. What’s the spec of your race bike for 2016 and your favourite bits on it?
Dan: I’ll be on a Pinarello f8 with SRAM and Zipp wheels. The F8 is probably the best frame I’ve ridden, I used one last year with Zalf too.
