1. When will you start your road season and what will be the first race?
I will start with tt’s at the end of February, but 34th Jock Wadley Memorial Road Race on the 13th March will be the first road race.

2. What races will be your targets for 2016 and why?
My targets for this season will be the premier races starting with the Chorley GP on the 26th March doing well in this event last year coming in 14th this was after a car hit a couple of days before the race, the course also really suits me, also shortly after is the tour of the reservoir, being hit by a car for the second time effect my performance, however the course is hilly again this suits my style, my main targets for the year will be the National Road Race in Stockton, Belgium is always tough going so would like to get the win in Belgium.

3. How will you spend the time on the bike between now and your first race in training? Long miles or cutting back to do top end efforts?
Mixing it up I will be doing long miles to prepare for the longer races but also doing efforts during the week on turbo, also some core stability just to keep my position on the bike a little more central, have already been doing some Tuesday evening track sessions to get some speed.

4. What was your favourite Xmas present?
My girlfriend Amy got me an outfit from Hollister fits a treat love it, but just meeting Amy is my best xmas present really☺ xx

5. When it rains, which its doing a lot right now, is it turbo time or wrap up and get wet? (if the latter, what’s your favourite tip to stay dry in the rain)
If I am going out I tend to wrap up a little warmer if I’m doing an endurance ride, top tip FIT mudguard’s

6. If you could do any race in the world including World Tour etc, what would it be and why?
If I could do any race Tour de France, but the Olympic road race, is so iconic and quadrennial

7. Who’s your favourite rider in the pro peloton (either UK or WorldTour/ProConti)
I aspire to so many different cyclists as everyone is unique and has something special about the way they ride, picking one rider has to be, Alex Dowsett, lives so close to home, he used to be a member of my second claim club ‘’Maldon and district CC’’, he has an amazing style on and off the bike, definitely a rider & someone I look up to.

8. What is your favourite music track when warming up for a race or on the turbo?
I tend to not listen to music or radio or anything when doing turbo sessions but if the TV happens to be on then that’s cool, but before a race I like to listen to some rudimental or Queen (I love to ride my bicycle) etc.

9. If given the option, normal brakes or discs?
Having owned a Mountain bike in the past the process of taking the wheel out front or rear is quite difficult, I think it’s hard enough just with the classic braking style I don’t think for speed in a race situation that you can beat the standard braking system, so therefore I think I would stick with old school brakes until discs can be made more efficient.

10. What’s the spec of your race bike for 2016 and your favourite bits on it? (include a pic or two If you have them!)
Trek Emonda SL
Glossy black
Shimano dura ace groupset
Bontrager 50mm Aeolus wheels
Bontrager saddle
Bontrager aero handle bars
