From Jon Miles

Although the 4 day Tour ta Malta, now in its 24th year, is not on any UCI list it is still hard fought stage race made so by the local riders and those from Italy and Sicily although semi professional or professional riders are not accepted. Female and male riders have their own stage race although on the same course.

The first stage is on 17 March with th final stage on Sunday 20 March; Stage 1 on Thursday 17 March is a 25 km time trial on the famous Coast Road.
The next day will be be 88 kms around St Martins, that’s 10 laps based on a hilly circuit.

Saturday 19 March sees the whole race transfer to the nearby island of Gozo travelling on a 20 minute ferry, this will be a stage of 60 kilometres.
Sunday stage final stage is the 100 km Mqabba-Zurreg, always a spectacular race .

All riders and officials stay at the same hotel for the race, all stages are held in the morning giving plenty of time in the afternoon for sunbathing or relaxing.

Bring the family for a race you will want to return to in future years.
