News – Tiernan-Locke starts season Feb 28

The road season continues in the South West on February 28 with the Primavera Road Races which replace the long helds Springtime Pursuits. All three races will be run in the morning and concurrently.

In the Elite/1/2/3 race, Jonathan Tiernan-Locke rides for Saint Piran and will no doubt find a lot of people following his rear wheel around the peloton on the lumpy Devon roads. He will be racing on a second category licence but if he shows anything of the old form that had him winning Premier Calendar events before his Tour of Med and Tour of Britain victories, then few will be able to hold that wheel in the race to the finish in a race over 53 miles.

Event Headquarters – Old School Rooms, Market Street, Hatherleigh, EX20 3JN

E/1/2/3 Starts 10.00;
Cat 3 & 4 Start at 10.07

Prime point level with the bus stop approaching Halwill Junction and on the RH side and just before the junction with Stags Wood Drive.

The bad weather in the last 12 months has resulted in many sections of roads, and today’s circuit is no exception, being subject to potholes etc. If you want to finish without punctures etc. fit suitable equipment.
