Saturday evening saw the launch of new womens development team Sunsport Velo WRT at Velo Espresso Cycling cafe in Altrincham.

Sunsport are a professional Woman’s cycle team supported by SunSport Coaching, Velo Espresso,Torelli and O’Brien race services with the aim of developing young talent and competing on the national and occasionally international stage at a high level.
Road captain is Australian Anouska Edwards a British Cycling Physiotherapist who brings experience to an otherwise rookie squad. She is joined by accomplished junior cycle cross rider Sophie Thackray, Grace Sarah Rogerson, Madeleine Scott and Jane Hellewell.

The team were introduced on stage to to a gathering of around 100 people who showed their enthusiasm for this exciting new venture with cheers and applause. After the formalities and sponsor introductions a Roller Racing competition took place with all comers welcome
The morning after the team were joined by their sponsors on the Manchester Mini Sportive organised by Torelli Sport ahead of their first competitive outing next week at Pimbo, Skelmersdale
