Daniel Barnett wins the Bolsover and District CC Open 10 with a three second victory over Simon Beldon

Result – Bolsover and District CC Open 10

The 10 mile TT was run on a course that has been unused for open events for around 20 years, on the A60 to and from Worksop. The event however was almost full drawing riders from a wide catchment area.

The course isn’t perfectly flat but with a fast start start and excellent road surface could local talent come close to Ben Swift’s “unofficial” club time of a mid 19. Unfortunately a light headwind on the way out made for some big efforts but not so great times for this course.

Team Bottrill were present again Dan Barnett taking the win 20.53, together with Pat Murphy and Bill Seddon for the Team Prize. The Team from Sheff Rec took the Ladies Prize. Ann Walsham – Maxx RT 25.26 was fastest Lady on the day, a great result returning to racing after a horrible winter training accident.

Harry Buxton – Out of the Saddle 23.39 was fastest junior.in a really credible time given the conditions and a course that suits careful pacing. This course is due to host a 10 mile 2up TT later on in the year in June.
