RESULT: Mid Shropshire Wheelers 25

Solo event: Fighting strong winds all round the course, Team Bottrill’s Josh Williams repeated his victory of 12 months ago, winning the Mid Shropshire Wheelers open 25 mile time trial emphatically in a time of 51:20, almost 3 minutes ahead of another local fast man, Matthew Davies of Rhino Velo RT. An excellent time of 54:34 by 18 year old George Evans in fourth place and 55:44 for Aaron Ward in sixth meant Team Bottrill won the Team award by a comfortable margin.

Among the ladies Lynne Biddulph (Born to Bike – Bridgtown Cycles) was quickest, finishing in 1:04:38 while fastest Vet on Standard was Barry Charlton (Swinnerton Cycles) with +12:45.

2-up event: The regular 2-up pairing of Chris Southworth (Nab Racing) & Nathan Turnbull (Leigh Premier RC) scorched round the Shropshire course to claim the win with a time of 54:52.
