News: Steven Burke Circuit League 2016

Thursday night critirium racing at the Steven Burke circuit returns on April the 14th for a 14 week league. The 1.1km circuit was used mid week for the first time last season after opening in August 2014. Situated just off junction 13 of the M65 near Colne meaning easy access for many riders . Last year’s racing attracted clubs and teams from just over the border in Yorkshire and organisers are hoping for a good turnout from riders in the Bradford and Kieghley areas as well as East Lancashire and greater Manchester, all within an hour’s drive.

Racing is organised by CDPP (Cycling Development Pendle Partnership) the circuit and club’s user group responsible for circuit promotion and use. Chairman of the group Len Woffindin said “This year will run on a league basis and an overall winner for each category including youth racing, there will be a prize for the weekly winner then overall prizes at the end. We will be using transponders for all racing”.

6:30pm youth ABC 25 mins plus 5 laps £5.00

7:15pm 3rds and 4ths 30 mins plus 5 laps £10

8:00pm E123 50 mins plus 5 laps £10
