Erick Rowsell has confirmed his ambition to win the Tour of the Reservior for a second consecutive time – but says that Madison Genesis has more than one card to play thanks to a strong squad. Rowsell won the event in 2015, adding to the team’s winning streak that started in 2014 with Alex Peters.

But Rowsell confirmed he was not the only one to watch within the line-up, following a string of strong team performances. Gruff Lewis took seventh at the Chorley GP, while there were three Madison Genesis riders in the top five of the Manx International GP last weekend.

Rowsell finished second on the Isle of Man, with Tom Stewart fifth, while the return of Alex Blain further bolsters the strength of the team, following his recovery from sickness that forced him to abandon the Tour de Normandie.

Such strength in depth gives Rowsell confidence that the NFTO deadlock that has gripped the Motorpoint Spring Cup Series so far, can be broken. “We had a great team performance last weekend so we will look to use that form we have as a team and build on it” Rowsell said, ahead of the team travelling to Durham.
