News – Alice Barnes Signs for Drops
Winner of stage 2 of the Tour of Reservoir, Alice Barnes has signed for British team Drops as she looks get selected for the Olympics on the road as the country has not qualifed a place in mountain biking.
Alice will ride the Tour de Yorkshire with the Great Britain team before joining the Drops team from May 1st. Alice has been racing since the age of eight and has a wealth of top road and MTB accolades to her name.
Last year Alice raced alongside Lizzie Armitstead during a successful World Championships, a partnership that gave her valuable experience. She finished second in the National Road Championships while also becoming U23 Road Race Champion.
“I am looking forward to working with Drops Cycling Team to help me work towards my goals on the Road this season,†Alice said.
