North Bucks Festival of Cycling Women’s Road Race has its distance increased to 75 miles

News – North Bucks Women’s RR

Race Director, Wayne Thomas announced today that this race has been extended by a further one lap to 120km/75miles taking it distance wise in to the area of top elite racing. The re-arranged program, following the cancellation of the Under 23 race, opened the opportunity to respond to underlying demands for longer races. Thomas commented that having approached a number of leading riders and Team Managers, that there was an overwhelmingly positive reaction to such a move. The race will now commence a little earlier at 1245.

55 riders have already entered including significant squads from Team Breeze, Team Ford Ecoboost, Drops Cycling Team, Team WNT, Boot out Breast Cancer and including round 1 winner Kim Ashton and round 2 winner (and 2015 series winner) Nikki Juniper, and a full field of 80 riders is anticipated by close of entry on 15 May.
