Double track world champion, Megan Giglia (C3), is included in the squad and will be hoping to take her success from the track on to the road in the team’s final major event before selection for the Paralympic Games in Rio.

Three – time Paralympic gold medallist, David Stone (T2), also makes his return to the squad and will compete alongside fellow Great Britain Cycling Team mate Craig McCann (T2), while London 2012 silver medallist Karen Darke (H3) will be looking to build on her recent good form at the recent Paracycling Cups in Verola and Brixia.

World champions on the road in 2013 and 2014, tandem pairing of Lora Turnham and pilot Corrine Hall will be hoping for success once again after starting 2016 with their first medal as a pairing at a track world championships. Steve Bate and Adam Duggleby will be looking to build on a promising 2015 which saw them win four medals at world cup level, and will compete in the men’s tandem time-trial and road race.

Another new world champion, Louis Rolfe (C2) makes his return to the road on the international stage and is also joined by Simon Price (C2). Jaco Van Gass (C4) will compete after returning from the Invictus Games in Orlando, while Jon Gildea (C5) will be in action after winning his first world medal in the scratch race in Italy in March.

Hannah Dines will also be looking to build on a breakthrough 2015 which saw her achieve two fourth place finishes at the road world championships in the women’s T2 classification.

Great Britain Cycling Team Para-cycling head coach, Jon Norfolk, said: “This is the team’s only major road event before selection for Rio and we’ve selected a strong team accordingly. With selection for the Paralympic Games now just around the corner the whole squad will be focused on producing the best possible performance they can and putting themselves in contention for Rio.”
