Results: Mallory Park Youth Races

BOYS
Tough conditions saw The MI Racing Academy dominate the U14 Boys race, taking the first 4 places. A clear win for Ed Woodward sees him displace teammate Josh Giddings as U14 Boys league leader.

In the U16 Boys race, Finn Mansfield clinched his first win of the season with a daring late attack from a 4 man breakaway. Closest finish of the night was in the U12 Boys race, Rory Knowles timing his sprint to perfection to beat Jude Chamberlain by less than half a wheel. With the win Rory takes back the U12 Boys league leaders jersey.

Alex Burden took over the lead in the U10 Boys league last week and celebrated with a win tonight. And Finally, George Cooper scored his 7th win in 7 starts by a significant margin.

In the Jewson team league it was a huge night for The MI Racing Academy who have now established a clear gap of 29 points between themselves and second placed Welland Valley CC. The battle for 3rd place is very close, Team MK currently edging Leicester Forest CC by just 3 points

GIRLS
Leicester Forest CC’s youngsters continue to dominate the U8 and U10 racing, Megan Cherry remaining unbeaten and a win for Bethany Jackson taking her to the top of the U10 league. Amelia Southall once again gave the U12 Boys a run for their money finishing a close second in the race and first U12 girl, extending an already commanding league lead.

U14 Girls league leader Amelie Wayte made a well timed sprint to just beat Lotta Mansfield. And finally, a disappointing entry of just 1 rider in the U16 Girls shouldn’t detract from a fine ride in difficult conditions by Maddie Hubner
