Boys Racing
Some great racing in our first Golden Lap event tonight. With 4 sprints on the final lap deciding the winner a variety of different tactics were employed. Rory Knowles took the first sprint and carried on alone to win the remaining 3 sprints and the race in the U12 Boys race, extending his league lead.

Breakaways featured in the U14 and U16 races, U14 league leader Ed Woodward winning for the second week in a row to extend his lead and Alex Haines taking his first Mallory win of the season in the U16 race. The closest race of the night was the U10 race, with 4 riders scoring over 10 points and league leader Alex Burden winning. 62 riders turned out in total on a wet and windy night – typical Mallory summer!

Girls
Difficult conditions tonight with rain and a strong headwind down the back straight did nothing to deter riders from tackling our new event format, the Golden Lap, 4 sprints on the last lap of the race with the winner being the rider with most points. Bethany Jackson did the ride of the night in a competitive U10 race, winning for the 3rd week in a row to increase her league lead to 4 points. In the team league The MI Racing Academy continue as leaders, slightly extending their lead over Welland Valley CC, whilst Leicester Forest CC Rockets overtake Team MK to move into 3rd place
