As always superbly organised by Scott Holmes and the Hillingdon CC the 85 kilometre race was beset by two rain lashed moments but dry for the finish; the main action was centred on the hill each lap especially with two primes, very well won by Annabel Fisher of neon velo.

Each lap the bunch was reduced in number caused by that hill and the small money was on Annabel to take home the win after showing her strength on the hill but come the final time up it was a real bunch dash to get to the climb first and this was well done by Clemence.

“This is not only my first win in the Team Series but also my team Les Filles, we have a strong team now with Laura and Louise, it is great to have the Team Series as well in the country as more races are trying to get UCI status or attracting very big teams so it is great to have something the middle for riders to race at a high level”

“Today I actually did not feel good at all during the race, I could not find my legs after a two week break after the Tour Series, I did not have it today but as I crested the climb for the last time I realised that people were feeling worse than I was so I hung onto to Jennifer’s wheel and then managed to go past her”  … continued after advert
