In a recent visit to a long supporter of VeloUK, the award winning Twenty3c cafe and bike shop, one bike stood out among all the others and that’s probably because I remember bikes with toe clips and down tube levers on those I raced in the ’70’s.
This bike is said to be based on bikes of an even earlier vintage, 1952 Specialissima, and is the only ‘new’ bike I am aware of that that can be used in the L’Eroica vintage bike rallies that are a huge draw to cyclists all over the world.
The celeste green Columbus Zona frame with lugs and chrome finishing certainly stands out especially with that Brooks saddle!
