Fabian: “This is pretty special, There are no words to describe it. I knew this was my last chance, double Gold and Silver, its not bad! I knew it would be a challenging day. I found a way to go fast today, not too fast too early, I think I paced it right.”

Froome: “I can’t be disappointed with my ride. I would have loved gold but I gave it everything. Fabian was the strongest rider today. I tried to hold back for the last lap but had nothing else to give. It’s been an amazing year to have the third tour win and my second Olympic medal.”
