Cycling Holiday Spain inviting riders to test themselves on the Cumbre Del Sol, the mountain used in the Vuelta.

The route can be seen on strava here

It is just one of many possible routes that Cycling Holiday Spain can offer riders at any of their pro style training camps, this one is 115 km with 2,700 m of climbing. The Cumbre del Sol saw Tom Dumoulin beat Chris Froome to the top and take a memorable stage win.

The Cycling Holiday Spain (CHS) ride starts at the base camp from where they head to the coast towards Calpe and Moraira after which they start the two mile climb up the Cumbre Del Sol. No easy feat as its 15 percent (some say 19 per cent) and more in places!

It’s a superb day of riding passing via Javea and Denia before heading back home via the fantastic Col de Rates where riders are greeted by a tasty apple strudel in the famous Col de Rates Cafe! It’s one of CHS’s favourite routes and a real test of strength and endurance on a route that is up and down all day.
