A new women’s team called ‘DriverPlan EDCO Continental Racing’ has been created with the aim of targetting national level women’s races. The team unveiled the first stage of a new structure for 2017 and confirm their first lead partners for 2017.

For the first season, the team will have six women in the elite racing team. Supported by Swiss wheel maker, EDCO, the team will ride Aerosport Umbrial Lights throughout the season and be equipped with EDCO pedals. Worldwide tyre brand Continental provide tubular tyres for the season and insurance company Driverplan offer financial support.

Other key supporters will be unveiled over the weeks. The team will race as DriverPlan EDCO Continental Racing.

The women’s major race targets will be the Tour Series, National Series and Championships, and many other flagship races as well as criterium races in the UK and Belgium. The 2017 team line up is: Ellen McDermott, Hannah Brand, Hannah Farran, Hetty Niblett, Jenn Batey and Karolien Liesens. Supporting the women’s elite team will be a five rider female junior team with a line up of Alana Prior, Marie Lynn, Anna Kay, Megan Kay and Olivia Fawcett.
