2017 sees the 10th Anniversary for Alpcycles who provide road cycling experiences in the French Alps
News: Book your experience in the Alps!
Company Press Release
Winter is in full swing in the Alps, which means spending most of the time on the rollers looking out the window and day dreaming about the summer sun!
But summer will soon be here for us all and scenes like the one in the photo above will be within reach of those that want to experience the French Alps. If that is what is helping get you through the winter, read on and find some inspiration with what Alpscycles calendar has to offer in 2017, our 10th Anniversary year.
All of your favourites are there! The increasing popularity of our Weekend in the Alps packages has seen us make more weekend dates available in two alpine locations. Or, if it suits you better, our team can run the perfect bespoke package for your group or club with options available in both the French Alps and the Dolomites.
Sticking with the Dolomites, you could join us and ride the Maratona dles Dolomites on our 5 night package. This classic event steeped in cycling history and set in stunning landscape is a real must and covers some of the most famous roads and climbs of the Giro d’Italia with multiple mountain passes in one day. The longest of the three routes being 138km and 4190 meters of climbing.
Then of course everyone’s favourite Granfondo, La “Mighty” Marmotte. This epic one day challenge at 174km and 5000 meters of climbing takes in all the classic climbs in the area that are sure to be on every cyclist’s bucket list, with a loop that includes: Col du Glandon, Col du Telegraph, Col du Galibier and the 21 bends of Alpe d’Huez. For a 1 Day event they don’t come harder than this.
Finally, if a multiple stage challenge is what you are looking for this year then the haute Route Events should be top of your list. This year we are offering packages on both the Haute Route Pyrenees (Anglet to Toulouse, 910km and 19300 meters) and Haute Route Alps (Nice to Geneva, 896km and 22200 meters) 7 Stage events and the new Haute Route Ventoux 3 Stage event. These are serious and rewarding challenges which enable you to experience the closest thing to a pro ride event.
After 10 years the Alpcycles team use all their experience both on and off the bike to provide the best Official Tour Operator packages and support for our event packages, including guaranteed entry… all you have to do is turn the pedals!
