A glorious sunny day at the Shrewsbury Sports Village for the Mid Shropshire Wheelers Sunday Circuit Race #2. A lower turn out for this non West Midland Youth League counting event but still some great racing through the day.

Report: Mid Shropshire Wheelers Circuit Race 2

A glorious sunny day at the Shrewsbury Sports Village for the Mid Shropshire Wheelers Sunday Circuit Race #2. A lower turn out for this non West Midland Youth League counting event but still some great racing through the day.

Highlight of the days racing for the judging crew was the lapping of the whole field and victory for local George Mills-Keeling from his breakaway companions Farley Barber of Pro Vision and Halesowens Jamieson Blain with an average speed of 25mph for the Youth A and Mid Shropshire Wheeler, James Satoor taking
out the bunch kick in the Youth B.

The female turnout remains viable and the clubs commitment to providing Women and Girls only racing is being rewarded with some good racing, Leah Ball of Brothertons taking the win in the Women’s race from a small group at the finish. These events are perfect for encouraging new riders wanting to try circuit or road racing and the club have regular training sessions.

Next events at the popular Shrewsbury Sports Village are Thursday April 27th and Sunday April 30th with entry via British Cycling website.
