Stunning days racing at Wheal Jane – Adult event two sees perfect weather again!

Cornwall’s only closed circuit provided the perfect back drop for a fantastic days racing. Blue skies and sunshine greeted the riders, a soft warm breeze made racing conditions ideal.

It was great to see so many “first timers” involved in the cat 4 race. Some finding out how hard bike racing is others like second place David Spaulding BCR finding out he had the pace to stay with the best. Victory went to Bike Chain Ricci’s Tom Nancarrow, a second win for the team in the 4th cat events in this series.

The cat 2/3 saw a break form with two riders dominating the later stage of the race. Working successfully together Ross Holland BCR and Nicholas Vincent of Lovelo Cinelli RT held off the peloton to fight out the finish. Ross Holland of BCR was victorious making it a clean sweep of victories for the day for the locally supported BCR. The promoting club Penzance Wheelers were not left out as Luke Pye secured third place in a tight sprint with the remaining peloton.

Great weather , great café, tight complex circuit with hills and fantastic organisation from Penzance Wheelers made a successful second outing for adult racing in Cornwall.

Third session is 16th July so get your entries in soon.
