Result: Witham Wheelers Road Races

Witham Wheelers promoted their 2 annual GT Ellingworth (3/4) and GA Bennett (E123) Road races on Bank Holiday Monday, both attracting full 60 rider fields. Although the course does not have any big hills the rolling nature of the roads always means that it’s a hard attritional race especially when the rain set in and the temperature dropped during the afternoon E123 race.

Jake Tanner (Cycling Sheffield Giant Sheffield) broke clear on the final lap to win by half a minute despite being in the earlier main break of 7 riders for 3 laps, which never gained more than a minutes lead.

Joshua Ravn (Wold Top Actif RT) won the morning 3rd cat race from a small break of 3 riders. Many thanks to PedalPushers (The Ultimate Bike Shop) of Grantham for their continued support of these races and all the club members who came out on the day to make for some safe and enjoyable racing.
