Sunday 30th July brought the Mid Shropshire Wheelers Sunday Circuit Races to a close for another year. The tireless Dave Mellor and a great bunch of volunteers can now move on to the National Trophy Cyclo Cross planned for November.

Summer weather turned spring like as sunny weather was interspersed with heavy showers which made tyre pressure choice an interesting proposition with a thankfully just a few riders tumbling mid storm. Special mention to Gemma Stuart who slipped off in the Women’s race which started in gloriously sunny and dry conditions only to get the worst of the day. Gemma gamely got back up and rode the 4th Cat men’s race at the end of the day.

George Mills-Keeling and Grace Lister once again demonstrated their strength and skill on the Shrewsbury Sports Village circuit both taking wins in the Youth A/B races. Mid’s brother and sister duo Ryan and Cerys Greaves took wins in their respective categories and the club had great performances in other Youth Categories. Melissa Baker, Matt Limacher and Darren Bohana took out the wins in the Women’s, 3rd Cat and 4th Cat races.

There is one more race in the Thursday Evening circuit races for Youth Categories plus a 3/4 Cat event on 24th August.
