Winner, Fraser Martin of Raleigh GAC, reports “The race was very aggressive from the start. A small group of three riders clipped away before the climb, and then on the climb, Andrew Feather attacked.

I was able to follow along with Tom Merry. Our group worked really well together with a lot of cohesion. On the penultimate time up the climb, two riders bridged across and the group increased to five.

Andrew Feather once again attacked on the final ascent of the ‘Suie’ however I was the only person able to respond. After a few attempts to gap me, I eventually hit out just before the crest of the hill putting 11 seconds into the second placed rider and had enough time to celebrate!”
