News: GB CX Team for Euros

Nine riders will represent Great Britain at the UEC Cyclo-cross European Championships taking place in Tabor, Czech Republic on 5 November. They include reigning junior European champion Tom Pidcock (also World champion in two disciplines) will contest the under-23 men’s event.

Pidcock, who is also the junior cyclo-cross and time trial world champion, began his debut under-23 world cup campaign with a victory in Koksijde last week. Lewis Askey and Sean Flynn, who are on the junior men’s endurance academy and mountain bike development squad respectively, will line up along with Ben Tulett in the junior men’s race.

In the elite women’s category, the 2012 and 2013 European champion Helen Wyman will represent the Great Britain Cycling Team, as will former British champion Nikki Brammeier and Hannah Payton. Anna Kay will compete in the under-23 women’s event along with 16 year old Harriet Harnden, who steps up a category in the absence of a junior women’s event.
