Tissot UCI Track World Cup – Round 1 Pruszkow, Poland

Pruszkow, Poland is the first round of the UCI Track World Cup that compromises of six events around the world over the next three months.

It is simply the highest-level track racing competition in the world outside of the Olympics and World Championships. Nations attending include Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Hong Kong, Switzerland and many more top cycling nations.

Sunday 05/11/17 11:00 M Team Pursuit Rounds (fastest 4 go through)

Team KGF are eagerly anticipating their first Tissot UCI Track World Cup as they make the step up to the highest-level track racing in the world. The team arrived safe and sound in Poland on Tuesday and had a successful training session at the BGZ Arena yesterday.

With another track session today, the team will ease back ahead of qualifying on Friday where they aim to progress to the first round on Sunday.

Charlie Tanfield said: “It’s really exciting to be competing in my first UCI Track World Cup. I’m looking forward to getting stuck in to some team pursuiting against the best nations and teams in the world.”

Dan Bigham said: “It’s great to finally relax a little. The logistics of a World Cup aren’t easy but we’re here, in good form and on some rapid kit thanks to our team sponsors. There aren’t any easy rounds here so we’ve got to go straight out and put in our best ride. Exciting times!”

Jonny Wale said: “Being track side with all of your cycling heroes is pretty amazing. Jan van Eijden holding me up for an effort, how cool is that? I’m ready to prove myself at this level and can’t wait for Friday.”

Jacob Tipper said: “It’s a privilege to be wearing the national champion stripes at such a prestigious event. I’m relishing the opportunity to race against some world class track talent.”
