Team Nuun-Sigma Sport-London reveal their 2018 line up including a return to racing by James Moss
Team News: Nuun-Sigma Sport-London 2018 Lineup
The Capital’s Nuun-Sigma Sport-London Race Team is today pleased to announce four new signings to complete its 2018 rider roster made up of experienced, long-term road & track riders combined with young talent.
Former IG-Sigma Sport professional, James Moss is returning to the road with Sigma Sport in 2018. Moss had a professional career that spanned 15 years and has experience competing at the highest level in stage races such as the Tour of Norway and the Tour of Britain. Moss, who will bring a wealth of experience and firepower to the team next year, is now living and working in London in real estate.
Also joining the team will be two younger faces, Anthony Anderson and Dylan Thomas. Anderson had a successful 2017 season, winning the Hillingdon Summer Series and competed in international junior races in Belgium. Thomas had a number of strong performances on the road and track whilst focusing on his studies. Next season will see him enter his second season as a senior rider as he looks to gain some valuable experience from the team’s older heads and focus on a full season of racing.

Completing the 2018 transfers is former Team Linda McCartney professional Martin Lonie. Lonie competed at the 1997 Junior Road Worlds with Sir Bradley Wiggins. Now a Master with multiple track titles and medals, Lonie recently returned from the Vuelta Masters Mallorca with the sprints jersey where he guested for Nuun-Sigma Sport-London.
Continuing their title sponsorship into 2018 are Nuun Hydration and Sigma Sport. Supported by a number of national brands there are several discussions with new sponsors still on-going. Team owner Cameron Fraser says of the teams’ support, “We are hugely grateful and lucky to have our sponsors. It is a very competitive market which makes it even more difficult to ask companies and brands to provide cash and product. It is a shame when other teams fold at our level and above but we continue to work very hard at promoting our sponsors to give them the return they need and deserve”.

Going forward, the team is proud to announce CAMS as its new vehicle sponsor. CAMS – Cycling Accident Management Services – offers a unique service to cyclists where after an accident their bicycle can be repaired or replaced in weeks by their local bike shop, rather than the months or even years a claim can take.
“I am absolutely delighted that we have CAMS on board.” says Team owner Cameron Fraser. “Having the support from CAMS will be invaluable in travelling to and supporting our riders in races around the UK. We will continue to volunteer as neutral support vehicles to many National B races to help all riders complete at the races they have trained so hard for.
Hopefully, due to our following we can help many cyclists, racers or otherwise, to get the compensation they deserve quickly in incidents that weren’t their fault,” says Fraser.
Also new for 2018 is support from Colonna, a leading independent coffee brand that shares the teams’ values and ambition. “We are thrilled to have a coffee brand in Colonna on board. Coffee and cycling have a natural partnership. Like us, Colonna focuses on the pursuit of excellent. They source, roast, and present the most exceptional coffees from boutique producers around the world. In 2018 all the riders are excited about tasting yet more success with the coffee and coffee making products that Colonna supply”.
Winning the Vuelta Masters Mallorca – October 2017
Returning rider Robert Moore said of the Team, “We are all competitive people and want to race at the highest level possible. Nuun-Sigma Sport-London RT provides the support and resources we need to maximise training and racing goals around full time jobs and family lives. The formula really works! This year I won the National Masters Circuit Race Championships and successfully defended my Vuelta Masters Mallorca title. After a bad crash in June I am very happy to have achieved what I have this year”
