2018 brings exciting changes for Fusion RT with a change of name to Fusion RT Velo Performance following the addition of a new headline sponsor by Velo Performance, a new partnership with Brother UK, as well as another talented women’s roster ready to embark on the upcoming racing season.

Together with our new sponsors, who are fully committed to the team, Fusion RT Velo Performance will be a force to reckon with.” Four core riders return to ride for the team in 2018; Jenny Hudson is now in her fourth year with the team and is a superb all-rounder and climber giving a first-rate performance last year with many top 10 finishes.

Jenny Holden starts her third season with the team after a great 2017 season which saw her win both Round 2 and Round 9 of the Women’s Team Series and is a terrific aggressive sprinter for the team. The team also welcomes back Fiona Hunter-Johnson for her third season. A brilliant allrounder Fiona is a very strong committed rider who gives everything to the team and her racing.
Molly Patch returns for a second year with the team and as an excellent track rider and time trialist, as well as prominent on the road, there is much more to come from this rider.
The team welcomes seven new riders for the 2018 season: Rebecca Goodson, Corrine Hall, Rebecca Johnson, Emma Lewis, Emily Meakin, Fiona Redding and Claire Steels. Rebecca Goodson is a 2nd year rider and specialist climber who will do well in the hillier races.
Corrine Hall brings to the squad a huge amount of racing experience and ability having been part of the British Cycling’s Elite Squad and we look forward to her contribution to the team. Rebecca Johnson came 2nd in the 2017 Tour of Sussex and is an excellent race tactician and superb allrounder. Emma Lewis, who won all three stages outright in the same race, is a strong time trialist and climber, and shows a huge amount of promise for the coming year.
Emily Meakin is an excellent bunch rider and a strong allrounder who won stage 3 of the Holme Valley Wheelers Stage race in 2017 who joins the team alongside Fiona Redding. Fiona loves the front of the race and is an aggressive and strong rider who will make an impact on any race. Lastly, Claire Steels takes the team to 11 riders. Spotted at the Tour of Sussex after she came 3rd overall, an excellent result for her 1st year racing, Claire clearly has much more to give.
