News: Morvelo Basso Team Launch London

This coming Thursday sees the team launch of the Morvelo Basso racing team in London at Cycle Republic.

One of the other main reasons for the team launch is not only to showcase the team but also to announce the Morvelo Basso Riders Club. This is a long-term plan to bring stability to the team to help it grow and develop without the pressure of securing new sponsors each year.

The teams aim is to become financially sufficient within, to grow outward and upwards to achieve big but realistic goals over the next three years. Oli Pepper co-founder of Morvelo is delighted to be working with the team once again and for the foreseeable future.

“We pride ourselves on doing things differently and there is no finer team than Morvélo Basso to demonstrate our ethos of passion without elitism; riders chosen across the categories with the simple and unadulterated love of racing bikes, which is why it’s fast becoming the team that all dedicated amateurs want to race for as they climb up towards the pro ranks”.

“With the introduction of the Morvélo Basso Riders club we’re looking forward to increasing support for these keen and hard-working racers as they juggle a packed racing calendar with work and family commitments.”

With Morvelo and other fantastic sponsors behind the team we will be able to offer members (riders club) amazing discounts and services. To mention a few of the benefits, members will enjoy ride outs with the team, VIP invites to races such as ‘The Tour Series’ and exclusive products which will be available first to our members. Morvelo Basso want to connect with the fans and build a real community around the rider’s club where our members feel involved in something really fun and special.

Team manager Adam Moore who has been involved with the development of the rider’s clubs is certain this will be a success and popular to the thousands of cycling fans who follow the team on social media.

“Seeing a lot of teams collapse this year, we really wanted to come up with a solution which could provide us with a solid platform to build upon and not have the financial worry each year as we see so often with other teams. From a business perspective, no company which wants to achieve success has a short-term philosophy. A long-term strategy must be implemented for a team to develop and grow. With passionate sponsors behind the team we feel we are in a great position to bloom over the next three years and beyond.”
